Well, it has been a while since I posted. I do have pictures to post from the parents visit but that will come hopefully this evening if I can find time to sit down w/out children wanting to help. So this is my update from the last few weeks.
First we will start with Riley. There is no new news on him yet. His next court post-permanency hearing is not until May so we won't know much more until time draws closer. The parents haven't done a whole lot other than transportation of their own. So we will keep you posted when things draw closer for him. He however LOVES being a "big brother".
Now Divyne. Things are looking REALLY, REALLY promising for her. The department of children and family services is asking for termination as well as CASA which is a step in the right direction for us. So now it is all up to the judge whether he agrees to the termination request. If he does accept the termination request then we move to a termination hearing where the parental rights of both parents are terminated. So for now we WAIT and PRAY that things work out. Her hearing is on March 10 so next Tuesday.
I took Divyne and Corbin to Costco with me the other day and as they were pulling the car around for me to leave Divyne looked at me with this horrified look and started to cry. The only thing she saw was this man pulling the cart with her in it and me standing on the other side of the isle. She was NOT happy. So the cashier and me assured her she was ok that "mommy" was right here. So once I walked up to her and started to push the cart away she smiled at me and everything was ok. Now if that doesn't melt your heart as a parent I don't know what would. She is to that stranger stage. So I have to be careful who I leave her with otherwise I get that horrified look. She is so dang cute and has developed quite a personality. She is really starting to mimic a lot of what Riley does. They have way too much fun together. She is really starting to say words now. She says socks, shoes (of course in her 1 year old way) cat, Riley, baby, etc. I just look at her everyday and wonder how lucky we were out of all the foster parents to be called about such a special little girl.
Now Corbin. Now much has changed since my last post on him. We have all the letters back from the tribes and now we are just waiting to see if his birth father will willingly terminate or if we have to wait until we go to the termination hearing in June to terminate his rights. So for now we just wait. We are hoping to go on a small little weekend family get away to Glacier National Park which is only a few hours away from us and on the way stop to meet his siblings. I am excited. He is just such a sweet, sweet little boy and I love him to death. I feel bad though when my parents were here he was really, I mean really fussy. That is not him at all. I think he was just overwhelmed at the number of people and excitement for one weekend. Hopefully he will get better about that when come home and visit family.
Anyway, all is well in our household. We will keep you updated as things move along.

We Are Making Progress
We are so close to starting the adoption progress on Corbin. We were waiting for 1 more ICUA letter from the reservation just confirming they have no interest in adopting him. We got the final letter Monday and now we are just waiting for his Biological Father's rights to be terminated. The Bio father has been served so now all we can do it wait. Daniel & I went to the Temple on Saturday and as you walk back to the dressing rooms you walk past a sealing room. I just sat there looking at the room knowing that we could be there w/in a year. I wanted to cry. He hes just grown so much. He is really gaining such a personality and is ALWAYS full of smiles and he is so cuddly. I love that little boy so much.
