Spring BBQ

Ok, so I am really behind on my posts but here you go.
We got a portable fire pit for Christmas from my parents as well as some dutch ovens. We were able to use the dutch ovens in February when they came to visit (I might add that my parents can cook dutch oven mmm good). We were waiting for some nice weather to be able to use our fire pit. We finally had a beautiful weekend and we broke out the fire pit. We roasted some hot dogs with the kids and marshmallows. The kids had a lot of fun. They played outside for a little while then we took them inside and changed (it was getting a little chilly outside so we changed them into long pants and long sleeve shirts and had a bbq). Here are some fun pictures from that weekend.

Fun Family Pictures

Ok, so for Fathers Day I had this wonderful idea of getting some pictures taken of me and the kids for Daniel to put on his desk at work. Well, I had to spoil the surprise. I got the pictures taken, sat down for the presentation, then was told the prices. YIKES!! I knew I had to talk to Daniel where the "package" prices were much more than I had expected (not all that bad though very comparable). So we decided that due to the amount that we spent it would be for Mothers Day and Fathers Day. Part of the package we purchased included a CD with ALL the poses that had a copyright release so I decided to share some of the fun pictures with you all. Enjoy!!

EEG Results

Sorry everyone. We got the results for Corbin's EEG on Monday but I have not had an opportunity to post an update. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers on his behalf. Let me just say this first. We took Corbin in for an EEG just for precautionary due to the tremors that he has been having.

The EEG came back clear. the pediatrician and I had an inkling that things would back on a positive note so we really had no worries. We just wanted to be safe than sorry down the road. So then where are these tremors coming from? Corbin is what many call a "Meth Baby" so we believe that these tremors are caused by the effects from the meth. He has not had as many tremors as he has over the past few weeks but let me tell you all the good things about my beautiful boy.

He is now 6 1/2 months and has now started to sit up all by himself and is doing so well. As long as he doesn't loose concentration he sits up for a while by himself. He doesn't like tummy time all that much so we are working on that aspect of his development but overall he really enjoys Riley & Divyne. Divyne now sits and talks to him (of course her own little way that only her and Corbin can understand) and hands him toys and asks him if he wants it. Riley is the same way. He gives Corbin kisses ALL the time. It is rather cute. He smiles ALL THE TIME. If he sees you talking he thinks you are talking to him. I LOVE the fact that children love to see themselves in the mirror so I have made it a habit that when he gets out of the bath tub I hold him in front of the mirror and get the biggest smile out of him. I love it. He is just way too much fun. We are so excited and can't wait for August 4 for the opportunity to make him legally ours.

Corbin's EEG

Corbin has been having these tremors when I feed him and he is almost asleep. So when I spoke to the pediatrician he suggested he get an EEG. I didn't think it was any big deal. Then I got a phone call from the a consultant from the hospital who would be doing the test. She said she wants him REALLY, REALLY tired. How do you get a baby to be sleep deprived enough to sleep for 1 hour straight with out moving. Well I did it. I took him in today. I did not know they would torture him so much. They measured his head and marked it all up them scrubbed the places that were marked with alcohol and pumice. He is extremely sensitive about anyone touching his head so needless to say he was NOT a happy camper. I was not a happy camper either. I had to hold a baby down so they could scrub his head. I got the look of horror from him I felt like the worst mom ever. I felt absolutely terrible. So after she finally got him all hooked up to the wires he did really well and slept for the whole hour. Other than being upset at the fact that my baby was being tortured it was so peaceful to watch him sleep. I never thought I could love someone so much. He is just the sweetest but happiest little boy. I love him to pieces. We get the results either this weekend or beginning of next. The picture was taken in a dark room with my cell phone so it is not very good quality but it does the job. Poor kid.
